Nominee for Maine Student Book Award!

The most exciting thing to happen in my writing life since I last updated my blog is that ONE TRUE WAY is a nominee for the Maine Student Book Award!

Twitter is my favorite place to hang out for connecting with educators and here’s an update:

1. The Building Cultural Literacy Book Club read ONE TRUE WAY, and Andrea Zellner created a Spotify playlist for the meeting. Thanks, Andrea!

2. Educator, Erin Varley shared “one pagers” her students had created for RUBY LEE & ME.

3. A couple of educators in State College, PA have created an iMovie about ONE TRUE WAY!

I was thrilled to see ONE TRUE WAY included in 8 Awesome Queer Books for the Youth and Tweens in Your Life!

I had a great time attending Rob Sanders’ book launch for STONEWALL A BUILDING. AN UPRISING. A REVOLUTION.
