Celebrating Appalachian Treasures!

I also received a letter from Jean Ritchie’s nephew, Pat Robinson. Jean is the subject of my picture book biography, She Sang for the Mountains. Along with his letter, Pat sent me a book of family stories and a CD of family songs. The last line of his letter says, “Again, thank you for your tribute to my aunt. We are all very proud of her.” It means a lot to me for a family member to be pleased with my work.
